  Today after almost a month and a cool head, I decided to write about my bad experience with American Airlines on a trip to Los Angeles. This text is originally written in Portuguese, because it is my language and where the ticket was sold, so I'm not responsible for the translation! For me it was humanly impossible to discuss in English with the attendant, after traveling more than 40 hours without the slightest comfort and seeing that made my surfboard, support for all other luggage.
Sunday, October 24 18:00 pm my wife and I arrived at the airport to check in, I was very well attended by Mr. Clovis who guided us to pay 100U $ or R $ 170.00 (receipt n Annex 01) for transporting Special surfboard, I do not even have two bags, the board was like a special baggage.



Headed for the shipment on time, and we face a technical problem, we waited about 3hr repairing the aircraft until 00:30 pm as photos



Well before this, I asked if they could fit me in one of Continental's flight to Houston because despite not being a business trip, it was very difficult to get these precious days and we could not delay their return because my wife and I are professionals , Which is very different from working in a large company for example.

Upon boarding, we terrible moments of insecurity, because even abort the takeoff, about an hour later, we were losing confidence in the aircraft every news crew.

The 3:16 am I stood in line at the check in the Hotel Windsor Barra with all my luggage back where my feeling was that I was having a nightmare and that was all a big lie.



We slept only 3 hours, andnext morning (25 Oct 10, Monday ). We had breakfast at the hotel and took the bus to the airport.

We had lunch at the Airport sponsored by AA only because the flight would leave at 3:15 PM
And we tried not to kill us not to spoil the trip


24hrs after the beginning of the trip to Miami and we had to sleep there because there was no more connection to Los Angeles.

On the way from Miami to LA put us in the worst place in the triple 7 or Boeing 777 to 38E. You imagine an airplane seat where two people sit on his right side and two people on your left and a true torture test of patience.

But then came FATAL BLOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!



All times and there were few, an employee of the AA brought my surfboard in hand and handed me after all I paid for it!
This time I started looking for her and before long I found it abandoned in a corner, looking better because I found no official came to bring me.

I was at baggage claim and the employee damaged the photo told me that I should have carried on a Hard - case. Dai Panico gave me the only thing I could talk to her, was she joked.




How would I explain in English that the surfboard is made of a material (fiberglass) more resistant than the hard-case she was referring to. How could I explain nervous, sleepless, in English, that the board has suffered a blow so violent that no hard-case he resists.

The American Airlines AAdvantage deposited spontaneously on my account for 20,000 miles that while I will not even comment.

Well! I wonder what American Airlines has to tell me about it, because here in Brazil the feeling of helplessness is gone!
